South Stokes High School

On May 1st, 2026 the Special Olympics for Stokes County were held at South Stokes High School. Over a hundred Olympians competed in the games. Over 160 students from South Stokes volunteered to help make the event a success. Many community members and staff members were able to organize the event. Special shout outs to Mitzi Britt for her leadership of Special Olympics for Stokes, EC Teacher Lanie Roberson, Beta Club advisor and Spanish Teacher Yasmin Jaffe, Foods Teacher Leah Barczy, Athletic Director Jason Clark, and Assistant Principal Ashley Nowlin for their roles in organizing the Special Olympics for the school.
