March 3-7 is Read Across America Week. We're going to celebrate with some special guests. We're also doing a Spirit Week with dress up Days.
Our Theme is: Oh the Places You'll Go!
Each day's dress-up theme:
Monday- Team Travel Day- Dress in NRES gear or colors (navy and gold) to support our Battle of the Books Team as they compete
Tuesday- Tropical Tourist Tuesday– Hawaiian shirts, leis, and beach hats for a vacation vibe.
Wednesday- World Traveler Wednesday- Dress like a world traveler or pilot! Wear travel accessories like sunglasses, fanny packs, and luggage tags.
Thursday- "Travel Through Time" (Throwback Thursday) – Dress in clothing from a different era, inspired by historical destinations or time-travel books. (Think- Pioneer days, 70s, 80s or 90s.)
Friday- Cozy up to a Good Book and Travel the world without leaving your chair! It’s Pajama Day!
Please join us as we celebrate the awesome places that reading can take us without us even leaving our chair!

Our Scholastic Book Fair is here! Students will have an opportunity to preview the fair today or Monday during their library Specials time.
They may shop Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7-7:45am, Tuesday or Wednesday from 1:30-2pm or during our Lunch with a Loved One Event on Thursday of next week.
Come on by and get some great books!
And, we could still use a few volunteers to assist students with shopping and then cleanup.

THE FOOD DRIVE HAS BEEN EXTENDED!
The food drive benefiting the Northern Stokes Food Pantry has been extended to Friday, February 21. The food collected will go right back to folks who live in our community through the Food Pantry. Collection boxes are set up in the foyer in front of the cafeteria.
Remember: The grade level with the most cans earns an ice cream party courtesy of the Francisco Ruritans Club. Third grade is currently in the lead! And, Mrs. Kelly has graciously agreed to having a pie to the face for every box that is filled to the top! What a great sport she is!
Wouldn't it be great to fill all 6 boxes? Just think of all of the people who would benefit from your generosity! And, Mrs. Kelly would have plenty of pie, so much that she may share with someone else!
